Congratulations to Throop Research Fellow M.H., who won 1st place in their high school's science fair and another 1st place award in the Pharmacology category at the 2026 Los Angeles County Science & Engineering Fair (LACSEF) for their project, SAHA Enhances CAR T-cell Cytotoxicity and Increases B7-H3 Surface Expression in Human Neuroblastoma, which earned them an invitation to the California Science and Engineering Fair.

Throop Research Fellow Amogh V. won First Place from the U.S. Metric Association for his Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair project, "Low-Cost Bacterial Cellulose Aerogels for Lightweight Thermal Protection in Spacecraft Heat Shields"
Throop Research Fellow A.S. was awarded a Stockholm Junior Water Regional Certificate and an NC One Water Certificate of Achievement for excellence in water-related STEM research at the North Carolina Region 5 Science and Engineering Fair. Congratulations to a most deserving student!

Throop Research Fellow Amogh V.'s poster, "Metabolomic Signatures of Radiation and Microgravity-Induced Oxidative Stress in the Rat Brain: Insights from NASA OSD-832" was accepted for presentation at the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research (ASGSR) conference. This is impressive for anyone, and is especially remarkable for Amogh, who is a high school junior!
